Privacy Policy

This page explains what we collect when you play on SMP.DOG, visit smp.dog or buy from the store, and what we do with it. We keep it to what we need to run the server.

Who's responsible

SMP.DOG is run by TODO: operator's full legal name, TODO: country. For anything about your data, email admin@smp.dog.

When you play

• Your Minecraft username, UUID and skin.
• Your IP address, to stop ban dodging and attacks on the server.
• Chat messages and commands, which are logged so staff can handle reports.
• Game data like your builds, items, claims, stats, playtime and balances.
• If you link Discord, your Discord user ID, so we can give you your roles.

When you buy something

Payments are handled by PayNow Services, Inc., our merchant of record. PayNow collects your payment details and email address. We never see your card details. PayNow shares order details with us: your Minecraft name and UUID, what you bought, the amount, and the date. We use these to deliver your purchase, help with support, and keep our records. PayNow's own handling of your data is covered by the PayNow Privacy Policy.

On this website

• Your cart and the Minecraft name you type in are saved in your own browser (local storage), so they're still there next time. They aren't sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
• When you press Checkout, your Minecraft name and cart are sent to PayNow to start your order.
• The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived logs like IP addresses for security.
• Fonts load from Google Fonts, and the player count comes from mcsrvstat.us. Both see your IP address when your browser asks them for these.
• We don't use ads, analytics trackers or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

To run the server, keep it safe and fair, deliver what you buy, answer support requests and meet our legal and tax duties. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it except with the services above that help us run things.

How long we keep it

Game data stays while the server runs, so your progress is there when you come back. Logs are cleared out over time. Order records are kept as long as tax law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to fix it, or to delete it, by emailing admin@smp.dog. Some things, like order records and ban records, we may need to keep. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to complain to your local data protection authority.

Kids

Minecraft is played by all ages. If you're under 16, please check with a parent or guardian before you link accounts or buy anything. Parents can email us to see or remove their child's data.

Changes

If this page changes, we'll update the date at the top.
