Terms of Service

These terms cover playing on SMP.DOG and buying from the SMP.DOG store. They're written to be read, so they're short. By joining the server or buying something, you agree to them.

Who we are

SMP.DOG is a Minecraft server run by TODO: operator's full legal name, based in TODO: country (and state, if in the US). You can reach us at admin@smp.dog or on our Discord.

SMP.DOG is not an official Minecraft product. It is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.

Playing on the server

• Follow the rules. Staff can warn, mute, kick or ban players who break them.
• You also have to follow the Minecraft EULA.
• We may change, reset or remove parts of the game, like worlds, items or features, to keep the server fun and fair.

What you're buying

• Everything in the store is a digital item or perk on SMP.DOG: ranks, the Pup Club, cosmetics and claim blocks. They only work on our server.
• You get a personal licence to use them in game. They aren't yours to sell or trade for money, and they have no cash value.
• Purchases are delivered to the Minecraft name you enter at checkout. Please check it. We can't always move a purchase that went to the wrong name.
• Most items arrive within a minute. Some, like ranks and cosmetics, arrive the next time you're online.
• Buying something doesn't put you above the rules. If you're banned, you lose access to what you bought along with the server.
• We may rebalance perks over time. If we ever remove something you paid for, we'll try to give you something fair in its place.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayNow Services, Inc., our merchant of record. When you pay, you're also agreeing to PayNow's Buyer Agreement, Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. PayNow handles your card or payment details. We never see them.

Prices are shown in US dollars. Any sales tax or VAT is worked out by PayNow and shown at checkout.

The Pup Club (monthly)

• The Pup Club costs $4.99 a month and renews on its own every month until you cancel.
• You can cancel any time from the PayNow receipt email or your PayNow account. It won't renew again, and you keep the perks until the end of the month you've paid for.
• When it ends, the monthly perks are removed. Things you already received, like claim blocks and items, stay with you.

Refunds and chargebacks

See our Refund Policy. If something goes wrong, please talk to us first. A chargeback removes what was bought and may lead to a ban from the server and store.

Age

If you're under 18, or under the age of adulthood where you live, please ask a parent or guardian before buying anything.

If the server closes

We plan to be around for a long time, but we can't promise the server will run forever. If SMP.DOG ever shuts down, we'll give as much notice as we can.

The legal bits

The server and store are provided as they are. We do our best to keep things online and working, but we can't promise there will never be downtime, bugs or lost progress. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live.

These terms are governed by the laws of TODO: country / state.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and big changes will be posted on our Discord.
